Disclaimers
Effective 29 April 2026 · Version 1.0
6.1 The Site is provided “as is”
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and the Donation Platform are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, either express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, security, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Authorising Principal does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any content served on or from the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components.
6.2 Informational nature of content
The Site provides commentary, analysis, and political messaging in the context of the 2027 Nigerian general election. Content on the Site is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute:
- Legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, or professional advice;
- An offer or invitation to buy, sell, or hold any security or financial product;
- An advertisement, solicitation, or recommendation in any jurisdiction in which it would be unlawful;
- A guarantee of any future political, legal, or economic outcome;
- An election day instruction. Nothing on the Site replaces the official guidance of INEC.
Where the Site discusses statutes, regulations, or policy positions, it does so to the best of the Campaign's knowledge at the date of publication. The legal and policy landscape changes frequently, and you should always consult primary sources or seek appropriate professional advice before relying on any content on the Site.
6.3 Third-party services
The Site relies on third-party services, including without limitation NowPayments OÜ for payment processing, Vercel Inc. for hosting, Cloudflare, Inc. for content delivery and security, and Upstash, Inc. for rate limiting. The Authorising Principal makes no representation or warranty in respect of any third-party service and disclaims any liability arising from or in connection with the operation of, or any defect in, any third-party service, save to the extent that such disclaimer is prohibited by law.
6.4 Cryptocurrency-specific disclaimers
- (a) Volatility. The value of any cryptocurrency may rise or fall rapidly. The Authorising Principal does not warrant or guarantee any rate of exchange.
- (b) Irreversibility. Most blockchain transactions are irreversible. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the wallet address you copy from the Donation Platform and for any error you make in initiating a transfer.
- (c) Network fees. Network fees and rates of confirmation are determined by the relevant blockchain and are outside our control.
- (d) Forks and re-orgs. Transactions may be affected by chain forks, re-organisations, or consensus failures. The Campaign will only credit a contribution where it is reflected in the canonical chain, as determined by NowPayments.
- (e) Sanctions and AML. Cryptocurrency transactions are subject to sanctions and AML laws. The Campaign and NowPayments may freeze, refund, or report a transaction where required by law.
6.5 Political-content disclaimer
The Site reflects the views of the Authorising Principal. Where the Site reproduces a statement of any other person - including a political opponent - it does so for purposes of comment, comparison, or news reporting. The reproduction is intended to be an accurate quotation or summary; if you believe a statement is inaccurate, please write to contact@peterobi.support and we will review.
Any policy position attributed to a third party is presented as the Authorising Principal's good-faith characterisation, supported by sources, and is not intended to suggest the third party has adopted, endorsed, or approved the characterisation.
6.6 Forward-looking statements
Statements on the Site that are not historical fact are forward-looking statements. Forward-looking statements involve known and unknown risks, uncertainties, and other factors that may cause the Campaign's actual policy outcomes to differ materially from any plan, target, or position expressed on the Site. The Authorising Principal undertakes no obligation to revise or update any forward-looking statement, except as required by law.
6.7 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Authorising Principal, his officers, employees, contractors, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible loss, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or any contribution.
The aggregate liability of the Authorising Principal under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the lesser of (a) the value of the contributions you have actually made through the Site in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, and (b) the equivalent of one hundred United States Dollars (USD 100).
Nothing in this Section limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law, including but not limited to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
